In mid 2008 six ambitious musicians from southern Germany sharing the same vision united under one common banner, to found a real metal band. The goal was to combine the ideas and experiences each band member accumulated in various bands and musical genres into a new project.
A name for this aspiring band was quickly found: NAILGUN was born!
The musical style of NAILGUN can hardly be reduced to an established Metal Genre and phrases like “sounds like band Xâ€, would bound to be in vain. The music is simply Metal abounding with joy of playing, power and energy!
The tracks of the self produced album PAINDUSTRY, released in 2010, are complex in arrangement and combine various elements of rock: punchy guitar riffs and very present bass work, joining melody and hardness. Aggressive parts with driving double bass drumming are accompanied by more quiet elements garnished with catchy melody and double lead guitar harmonies. The Songs vary from pretty straight forward, coming right to the point as well as more complex tracks.
PAINDUSTRY is rounded off by a gloomy artwork picking, up music and vocal statements and synchronizing them in such a manner so that the listener is perfectly tuned in what's awaiting him.
