The band "VOLUME II" is a young aspiring Metal-band from Chur (Grisons), Switzerland. Its sound is buildup of many different Metal styles. One can find traditional Old-School Rock elements as well as new time Metalcore passages in its always melodic songs. That special combination gives "VOLUME II" its unmistakable identity.
The founding of the band goes back to the year 2008. Back then with five members they started their first band-project. After a short time the band had to separate from two of the members because of several resons. The three remaining members Dino Schädler, Franco Riedi and Gian-Marco Moder kept on rehearsing and writing their first own songs. Unfortunately a talented bassist was missing. In the year 2009 it finally came to the point. After a long time of searching the three of them found an dedicated musician (Thomas Zimmermann), who accepted this position gladly. The before rising bad mood got forgotten. After exhausting times of considerations about how to name the band, they decided to call themselves "VOLUME II". The name should be referred to a "second beginning". In spring 2011 the band decided to expand their musical performance by hiring Carlos Blumenthal as a fifth band member to play the guitar while Gian-Marco applies himself completely to the singing.
Already two month after the foundation the band headed to the studio to record their first song "Send You Back To Hell". Owner of the Studio is Dani W. Schmid of Chur, who founded a music label at that moment. He was so fascinated by that song, that he offered to release the song on his first music sampler "Music Agent One". According to that the very young band was able to post their first success. Above all the song was played on Radio Grischa in combination with an interview of the band.
Shortly after that the boys applicated to the young theater "basta!" from Chur to write and enact the songs to the play "My Werther". In face of other applicants the band got the job after a short live demonstration. Those performances got their first debut concerts, in which they could get their first live experience.
Directly after this project the band kept on writing songs. The next goal was to produce a CD with a few songs. In the studio of Tom Gartmann, a very ambitious musician and producer, the album was finally recorded.
